I began The Reading Studio to serve families on the North Shore by providing high quality multisensory group instruction and individualized tutoring services to students of all abilities. When I was in elementary school I struggled with reading. It took many years of hard work and intervention to fill in the gaps that I had developed in my phonological awareness and phonics skills. Because of this, I’m passionate about helping others on their reading journey. The instruction focuses on pre-reading skills that are foundational to learning to read. Chapter 1 is a year long curriculum running from September to June. Students are able to sign up for a class at any point throughout the year. Our teachers use a variety of approaches to strengthen early literacy skills, helping children get ready to read and write while having fun.
