BOOST! Literacy is designed to build a strong foundation in reading through explicit phonics instruction. It’s created to meet a child where they are on their journey and support them on their road to reading proficiency.

A scope and sequence has been designed to teach phonics skills that will support students in both reading (decoding) and spelling (encoding). Our instructors provide explicit instruction and guidance, allowing students to engage in purposeful practice. To ensure that each student receives individual attention and focused instruction, our classes are intentionally kept small in size.

Strengths and struggles are identified in each child’s reading and spelling skills and a BOOST! Learning Plan (BLP) is created for each student. This foundational program is created for Kindergarten - 3rd grade students. As students progress through their BLP, each lesson builds on the prior one and over time increase in difficulty. The goal is to teach patterns needed in reading and spelling single and multisyllabic words.

BOOST! Literacy is offered throughout most of the calendar year so learning continues all year long!

Note :: Registration for BOOST! Literacy is a school year long or summer long program. Families may join (at a prorated amount) or cancel at any point throughout the year (see cancellation terms). Since our classes are intentionally kept small, if a class fills, please use the waiting list function in the registration system so that we know to open more classes or contact you if a spot opens!

Join Summer BOOST! Literacy and attend classes every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer. BOOST! Literacy is designed to support students in strengthening their reading and spelling abilities to help them get ready for the next school year.
